4. Only if Pagans get to come and teach the kids a few YULE Chants too |
|
Since Yule Chants go great with loud drums and screaming guitars I bet the kids will like them best :)

I live in California and I am 17 years old. We were told in chorus that we have to sing Sing, We all, Noel, which is purely Christian. I said I'm not singing it and I'm not listening. I wanna see what happens. >_> <_<

7. Some of the Christmas carols are religious in nature. |
|
Of course, religious music should not be required in the schools. But, it would be unfortunate to exclude it entirely because some of the greatest western music is sacred. Think of the Bach chorales, the Messiah, the Oratorios of Mendelssohn. Those are just a few.
By the way, the ghosts and goblins that are so popular on Halloween have more of a religious significance than Christmas Trees. The two days of Halloween are actually All Saints and All Hallows. The religious significance of the ghosts and goblins is pretty obvious if you think about the real meaning of those days. In German-speaking countries, people visit the graves of their deceased relatives. I believe that the Mexicans also visit family grave sites. Funny how people pick their battles (on both sides of the First Amendment issues).
