1. That was a better interview than we get from the so-called
journalists. Both Will and Jada asked very good questions and allowed the President to give a lengthy answer.

Thanks for posting this.

5. This Is Really Horrible!
Though it's not particularly surprising it's horrible for folks like Jada Pinkett and Will Smith to legitimize this system by schmoozing with people like Barack Obama. Children are very susceptible to the tactic of endorsement that stars and celebrities can have on a product like Barack Obama.

And after all the crimes this society has perpetrated on the Black people of this land to see increasing numbers of upper class Black participation in the selling of this empire is especially heartbreaking.

12. Liberal Alert?
I never understand why white liberals can't distinguish criticism from the left (especially when it comes from non-whites) from Freepers. Liberals are strange creatures.

About the video, it is a horrible thing. Obama is, officially now though it has been said all along, a warmongering prez just like so many before him. Imperial attack on developing (almost always non-white nations) is what the US has become known for. So it's sad to see this endorsed by other Black celebs popular with many youths, of all ethnicity, who are trying to understand right and wrong in the world. None of this of course is terribly difficult to understand. But it's DU. I get it.

16. uh, they're not "legitimizing" anything
you either agree with the president, or you don't. you may thoroughly dislike his policies, but this interview does nothing to legitimize anything. all it shows kids is some articulate, powerful, thoughtful african americans discussing moral issues, which lets be honest, is not something kids would normally get exposure to.

hell, america "legitimized" the Iraq war by voting Bush back in in 2004. THATs legitimizing the system.

11. Oh, Thank you for that!
Sometimes, the despair gets so overwhelming that we need to hear something nice.

President Obama has done some stuff lately that really took my breath away, and brought tears to my eyes, both good and bad.

I wonder though, if there is going to be a movie, I said from the very beginning that Will and Jada should Play the President and the First Lady.

Ho

17. Great Interview! I hope there's more of this somewhere.
And it would be good to see others do the same kind of interview.
