The sharks are everywhere, and not all of them are Euromoguls in thousand dollar suits. They appear in every nation, on evey level, and in every walk of life.

As we hail or denounce one another, faction to faction, it might help to remember this:

We are all every one of us, knowingly or not, in a war for survival and justice. The front is everywhere.

1. The American working class has more in common with
"peasants" in developing and Third World nations than with our own economic and political elite. Tactics used to promote patriotism and nationalism are, in part, designed to prevent us from realizing this.

Our government has a history of supporting military coups for reasons on national interest (Read "business interests").

When Manuel Zeleya was placed under arrest and exiled in a military coup in Honduras, it was not because he had violated the Honduran Constitution, it was because he was developing a relationship with Hugo Chavez, including a deal to provide fuel for less than was being charged by Honduran businesses. Republican Senator Jim Demint traveled to Honduras to meet with the coup government and offer support. Our political elite, which works with our economic elite to the detriment of U.S. citizens, giving comfort to the Honduran political and business elite to the detriment of Honduran citizens.

Our leaders demonize Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, and Evo Morales because they challenge the status quo of leaders who sell out their own people to American (business) interests.

We are all peasants.
