I never once thought it was a "pretzel." I might have thought he was indeed drunk and fell on the floor, but the more I thought about it, the more I accepted the notion that someone slapped him around a bit to "get the message across." If I had the time, I'd check on what W was doing and saying prior to his injury to see if he was unintentionally giving away the whole neo-Con plan.

I also wonder about the three days that elapsed between the 9/11 attacks and his appearance in DC. He said he was "getting out of harm's way," and his handlers say he was plotting the response to the attacks, but I wonder if he was becoming unglued and the neo-Cons felt they needed to slap him around to convince him to "stay with the script."
