This is not a clip of Glenn Beck. It is someone with an annoying voice who apparently is quoting Beck or claiming he said this. The actual sound clip of beck would be much more powerful.

5. I don't get the point of this one

I heard that Beck had made a remark about the 3/5's rule and I thought that this clip would have Beck's voice. I wanted to hear it to judge his tone of voice and how serious he was.
That's not what I got and I frankly don't see the value in this particular clip. Maybe there's value to other Headzup cartoons.

7. I've heard the audio before...

It's nothing one has to hear. What he said was pretty straight forward and simple historical explanation. Beck explained that the pro-slave South wanted all slaves counted as a person while the anti-slavery North wanted them to not count at all. He explained that the reason for this was because of representation in the House. If the South got what it wanted, all slaves to be counted, then the South would have greater population (without a say in representation) and thus greater representation in the House. The South's wants, needs, and ideas would remain dominant for as long as they could see. The North knew they would never be able to undo things if they allowed them to be counted while the South wouldn't join if their slaves weren't counted. And so the 3/5ths Compromise came to be.
