Hi, I normally wouldn't post these longer clips here, but everyone on this board needs to hear the first part of this show when Cenk is talking about Obama, Lieberman, and the obvious shafting that's just been pulled on the rest of us by this good cop/bad cop amateur hour charade. I'm 11 minutes in and my blood is boiling.

It's important for every one of us to realize just exactly who we've elected - another corporate Democrat a la Bill Clinton, a brighter and smarter face for the Shock Doctrine treatment we are all going to get. Fuck.

1. Cenk - just starting to listen to the clip and he's already about to explode!

Those who know the games going on in Washington right now are having an easy time attacking this bill because the facts are all on their side. Cenk was on fire!

6. I'm pretty sure we made a shorter clip of just the Obama/Public option segment.
But it's great if people are watching the whole first hour of the show.

5. OK so I've defended Pres. Obama in some areas not all though, I see his flaws...
Edited on Thu Dec-17-09 01:54 PM by ProgressOnTheMove
I know what they are but defeating Pres. Obama's chances of re-election is not where I'm at, simply because the alternative is still far worse. With no PO then it's time to demand adamantly no mandates. I don't see Pres. Obama as a savior, I see how he's corporate although not completely but I'm choosing to address any problems in th congress which is doable. That was a very funny segment by Cenk though.

9. I think Cenk is going too far lately
Your president seems to me to believe in a real balance between the public and private sectors in your country. I don't think his initial support of a publicly secured and publicly driven health care system was a political con.

However I agree that he is failing to lead and to say what he's really thinking in this process and I am really questioning why. Even though America isn't my country I read DU regularly; I was so excited for you that you chose such an impressive and fascinating person for your highest public office.

Does Cenk really believe Obama's promise of C-SPAN transparency was all a con? He seems to be caricaturing Obama out of despair at the moment.
