3. I only wish he'd been more forceful and deliberate. |
|
He seemed a bit tentative in deference perhaps to the institution. Seemed 'iffy' about it. But he did it anyway, and for that I'm grateful.

Senator Franken's response to Traitor Joe:
"Senator Lieberman, you have been speaking for ten minutes. In those ten minutes, you have said nothing cogent or worthwhile. I sincerely doubt that, given another minute, you would say anything worthwhile. So STFD and STFU."

6. Thank local Minnesota caucus workers for this. |
|
Without their hard work, at the precinct, state senate district, and state levels, Al Franken would not be in the Senate. Most also worked hard during the campaign, which resulted in a thin, thin margin of victory.
Let it be a lesson that working in local Democratic political organizations pays off handsomely. BTW, Al Franken's staff has a list of those who caucuses for him. We get our emails answered in detail.
How's your communication with your senator working out for you?

... and good to hear about your e-mails. You've reminded me of at least one recent instance where democracy has worked, and it's encouraging.

It's Christmas guys. Do you suppose that Santa could bring us some spine for some of our other senators?
Or is that too much to ask for?
