3. The idea of that display is 'artsy' but.... |
|
I'm having a hard time accepting it's art due to the horrible craftsmanship. Seriously, Jesus doesn't even have eyes.

4. The artist was interviewed on the news last night. I live ten miles up the road from the incident. |
|
He said that Santa represented the commercialization of Christmas and since it was Jesus's day he had a right to kill Santa. I think he got kicked in the head to often by his horse.

6. I would say that this is totally awesome, but |
|
not when it is in Front of the view of children. Let them have their "kids" understanding of Christmas and Santa without this cynical asshole sharing his jaded view of Christmas with the world. He should really keep it up, but just in a less public place.
The creations are pretty awesome and funny, IMHO, just don't be a douchebag and put them in front of a bus stop.

7. so everything is public has to be kept to the level of children? I don't agree. |
|
I do agree with protecting children from serious threats, etc, but having something like this is pretty much a mild way to say there is a lot more to the world than the simple, silly Santa story.
And I know some kids who would love this stuff.

but I am happy to not see Santa shot dead by Jesus as a little kid. It was nice to have that Santa thing not squashed for a few more years when I figured it out on my own. I am sure I could have dealt with it, but happy not to have to, even if he does raise a good point about what Christmas should really be about.

8. Waste of time making an issue.... |
|
If everyone just let the nut-ball do his little "display", and people reacted to him as "neighbors" on a "good taste" ground...it might be note worthy. As for the little kids being traumatized by this display...absurd.
Just another "joe the plummer" getting his shot in. Maybe bor will send his "stalker" out to interview the dude, and all the geriatrics and born again's can focus on the story on the propaganda network.

12. The only part of this that disturbs me . . . |
|
. . . is the idea that Jesus would even TOUCH a firearm other than to take one from somebody. Any person familiar with the Message of Jesus would know that Jesus would never shoot anything - even Santa.
What's weird about this is that I'm an atheist. :0/

"Shooting the symbol of Christmas!"
Um...I'm not a Christian or anything, but I was under the impression that Christmas was about...um...CHRIST???? If you are going to celebrate a holiday, then do it properly. Otherwise call it what it has becomes...GIFTSMAS.

16. The celebration of "Christmas" honors Santa more.. |
|
Especially considering the fact that Dec. 25th is a pagan holiday and not even Jesus's birth date... and now it's been taken over by Corporate America. I only wonder what its next incarnation will be...

the guy should be shunned, not cited - otherwise, Jesus might just pop a cap on your ass.
