2. Accidental shooting (minor injury) to fleeing and evading.
He'll get time for the fleeing that he wouldn't have received from the actual shooting.

4. From one mama to another...
Tamika honey, I will be praying for your family♥

That poor 17yo boy had apparently never been in trouble with the law and had been recently attacked, which is why the gun was purchased in the first place. The boys were cleaning out a closet together when the gun went off... why the handcuffs for crying out loud? You know, a friend of mine had a similar terrible incident occur in her family... one of her 11yo twins shot the other with their father's gun. The injured twin almost died. As horrific as that incident was, the police never treated the offending twin with anything other than compassion. My friend's family is white and upper middle class... wonder if that had anything to do with the differing treatment of the two boys? Yeah, I wonder...

7. Excuse me?
I was referring to the fact that the one boy was handcuffed and led through the street to a squad car... which happened before he attempted to flee. My friend's son, on the other hand, was comforted by the police... and he did not flee. Why would he feel the need to?

I'm not quite sure I get the reasoning behind your disrespect...

6. College
football should really take a look at this kid, the 40 in handcuffs looked pretty damned good to me and he has that break-away speed teams like. It's to bad there was no agility footage.

19. The .22 caliber rifle is among the world's deadliest
It won't pierce standard issue body armor, but the ammunition can bounce around inside you and you can carry 51 rounds ready with two 25 round banana clips taped together. I think those clips are banned now, but I still see them every once in a while in garadge sales, etc.

21. Nah, not banned.
You can still walk into an academy / cabela's / gander mountain / etc and pick up a 25 round bananna mag for a ruger 10/22. Even during the 'ban', there were enough pre-ban mags that they were available, though at a higher price.

11. .22 for home defense? Kid runs away...well ..duh? Living in Detroit....Duh again..
The kids were playing with the gun....simple.

Now let's send the kid to prison for 50 years for a felony...

Why not sign the kids up to go to AfPakistan to die over there?

Then at least they can come back home with a made-in-China plastic flag draped across their casket and the Corporations will benefit.

22. One ass gave another ass a rifle with which he shot another ass, in the ass.
I'm all for being armed, but how about a little fire arm education first and some sort familial once over for maturity. Right. Mom's the head ass.

24. the kid get's robed and pistol whiped. so the mom gets him a .22 rifle that he keeps in the closet,
with a round in the chamber and the safty off?

there are so meny things wrong with that story.

For one would he have time to go find the gun in the aparently messy closet if he was being robbed again? I think it mor likley that the .22 will get stolen by the robber, or get the kid killed trying to pull it.

secondly a .22 rifle isn't exactly the type of close quarters fire arm you would want inside a house.

last question I have is what was the white powdery substance around the mom's lips?
