1. I could barely see his lips moving |

I will agree with one thing, it was a huge DEFEAT for the Republicans, even if the terms aren't to everyone's liking - getting 60 on something as big as this really shut them down after this summer of teabagging, protests at town halls and all the Fox News manipulation

2. Uhmm...they ALREADY HAVE! They've blocked any meaningful reform, and... |
|
at the same time, the can blame the Dems for passing a bill that will give a mandatory handout of billions to the insurance companies, allow those same companies to charge 3x or more for covering people with preexisting conditions...and won't take effect until way after the midterms. Win, win, win...AND WIN!
Do we really think the Dems are that stupid...or is it a little more likely that they're bought and paid for AND WILL CREATE ANY ARGUMENT POSSIBLE TO KEEP FUNNELING THE MONEY TO THEIR CORPORATE MASTERS AND THE EXPENSE OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS?

5. I do hope the democrats get one lesson out of this. |
|
No matter what bill is up to be voted or debated on, the republicans are not going to participate in voting for it. They are going to oppose every single thing that comes along.
So to make it plain to them, democrats should say, no more bi-partisanship. We tried and you turned it down. We are going to push out bills to support and help the American people, and not big business' thru congress and turn this country around.
Tell republicans to go to Hades, sit on the side lines, mess their pants or what ever they want to do, but get the hell out of the way, because from now on it is going to be a WHOLE NEW BALL GAME.

6. Ha ha is this guy dumb....pugs are high fiving all over the place |
|
Their wealthcare stocks are going through the roof by this passage of an indentured America and the dems will get blamed for the meltdown and horror it causes.
For you pollyanna's; The chance of this bill getting any better than the pile of shit that it is, (except for a few pies in the sky, thrown in gratis) in reality is nil to none.

They never pass fully formed initially.

9. You are deluding yourself. There is nothing left in this bill that qualifies as a program, |

like medicare or social security, to build upon (such as a "public option" or even "buy in"). It is just junk legislation for another transfer of wealth on a mammoth scale. Point out the programs to build upon. As a clue you might note the health care industry stocks are going through the roof by this legislation. They must be looking at the looming disaster for themselves instead of the inevitable windfall.
