1. We were warned about this over 200 years ago....
Dr. Benjamin Rush, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, is quoted as warning Americans over two hundred years ago:

“Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an underground dictatorship. . . . The Constitution of this republic should make special privilege for medical freedom as well as religious freedom."

The Democrats, today, on behalf of the health care industry, made it happen with their mandates for us to buy insurance from private corporations.

2. K and R.
Such a shame to see such little support for this historic milestone. I agree with Chuck Schumer, when people learn more, they'll be more supportive.

3. Milestone?
If just a few people get health care in time to prevent serious illness or death, then it could be described as a good thing, but milestone?

For me, the shame is seeing our so-called leaders bend over for the insurance lobby at our expense.

5. a little off-topic, not off-subject. I am going
to post this every where I can.

Here goes. A moran is dumber than a moron. Just look at all the "get a brain, morans" republics that dot the landscape - mostly from the racist south.

I shudder when one of our stripe - liberal democrat - jumps on the 'knock President Obama' bandwagon when the president is quoted thousands, yea millions of times as for letting all of us down because he has talked about not signing legislation that doesn't contain ..... wait a f**king minute......did I hear someone say there is no legislation available for signing? And then did I hear someone say legislation can be vetoed when it doesn't suit the president?

Anyone who doesn't get my point, please join the other party. They are always looking for more 'morans'.
