This seems more organized and effective than the protests after the election.

People are chanting "Death to the dictator!" and the police are standing around doing nothing, cowering behind shields.

4. Yeah. The marchers are targeting and fighting back the police.

There were videos of protesters tearing up pictures of the Ayatollah. According to twitter, as many as 12 protesters have been killed so far.

Peaceful demonstrations let the ruling thugs know they are outnumbered. Violent ones frighten them into change.

Both are often necessary.
