In 2006 former CIA agent Bob Baer conducted an investigation into security at European Airports, including Amsterdam's Schipol Airport.

Later that year he warned a Northwest flight from Amsterdam to the US could become the target of an attack.

He spoke to Al Jazeera English's Anand Naidoo about the growing threat facing air travel.

He also says that airport security measures are "not effective at all".
