The public is invited to Times Square to shed and shred their bad memories from 2009 and welcome a fresh start in the New Year. Some of the more unusual bad memories include "drunken Twittering" and "fat thighs"! Whilst negative thoughts and feelings from 2009 are committed to paper that ends up in the shredder, physical objects and gadgets are destroyed with a sledgehammer.
