4. K&R. Good questions.

It always seems like we're chasing the last technique used. I remember taking a flight with all my liquids in neat baggies and such, and no tools. But then needing to remove my suit jacket because a couple of weeks before we'd had some coat bombers. Had I realized jackets were on the list (had already removed my outerwear), I'd have worn a nicer shell.

So now when we've let our enemies know it will be the last hour of the flight under scrutiny, won't they just try to do their dirty work sooner after take off? So perhaps we'll all then be locked into restraints and need to be unlocked when we want to go to the tiny restrooms on board?

And yeah, diversification of our energy sources earlier would have made us so much less beholden to the countries with the most oil.

But big oil runs our government, unfortunately. And their product has been "cheap" because we never put the cost of our aggressive expensive privatized wars onto their bottom lines.

We were told solar was just too expensive. How expensive has it been to fight to retain our dominance in the oil business? How many billions have we spent propping up this dictatorship over that one and then reversing course just to suit this or that oil faction in our government?

And I think she was the US Ambassador to Iraq back in GHWB's cabinet.

I think she was used by Bush 1 to trick Saddam in to starting Iraq War 1? That is, she said the USA don't give a rat's ass if Saddam goes after Kuwait.

It's amazing how many times Saddam got chumped by the USA! Like Lucy and Charlie Brown and the football, fer chrissake!

I wonder if April is doing interviews these days? I wonder if it's even possible to locate her whereabouts on the planet?

I've been making this argument with some conservative friends for years now. The only way to stop terrorism is to eliminate the reasons for them to hate us.
