1. I hated this.

I have a mental illness, and you know what?

My condition might not literally kill me, but bipolar disorder has a 15% suicide rate.

Yes, there is a problem with the system, but some people really do need meds to improve their lives, even if their condition isn't "literally" fatal.

So, yeah. Not cool.

Watching that, I only felt like I was being mocked for taking meds for a non-fatal condition. Attitudes like this only lead to more suicides.

Oh yes, and the "if you experience psychotic episodes, you're crazy"? Not fucking funny. My cousin, who has bipolar, had a severe psychotic episode a few years back from not being medicated by evul big pharma.

Although I don't think the people who made this video really give a shit about people like us anyway.

2. sorry for your distress but the fact remains that big pharma is

pushing dangerous drugs on all of us. i will grant that some have merit but the many showing up in ads on tv have been less than adequately tested . . . they're being tested on us. patients viewing these commercials should not be deciding what drugs they should take. i knew there was a problem when the drug companies started with those bizarre side effect warnings . . . and they obviously knew it too.
