75. I'd choose Islam, myself
If choosing a religion to have faith in is made
based on one or two superficial features rather
the right one and only god, then my advice
to Tiger is sign up for Islam cause they offer
him 69 (or is it 96) virgins which can be a lot
more fun than forgiveness..

Don't make me laugh.

First of all, I honestly don't think god gives a shit what Tiger Woods or any of the rest of us do. Any more than he cares what a gnat does.

Secondly, when did christianity become the moral exemplar for the human race? Tiger should become a christian so he can be like ... I know, Ted Haggard.

Organized religion sucks and the more organized it is the more it sucks,.

Christianity has been the moral examplar for as long as I can remember. :sarcasm:

The funny thing about the last election was how all of the candidates had to distance themselves from the religious leaders due to how hateful and sinful these "religious" leaders have behaved in the past.

22. That's the thing
Brit feels he can slander, lie, and and degrade anybody he wants because he's got God. He gets forgiveness...it's built-in so he can do anything he wants and then prayerfully "repent." Watching so many Christians act like they can do what they want and then get automatic forgiveness is one of the many reasons I hate going to church so much.

12. So all Woods has to do is announce it publicly & all is forgiven, go back to his fun lifestyle
Edited on Sun Jan-03-10 01:17 PM by GreenTea
since it looks like Woods won't be married much longer.

And if Woods is caught, doing something that the oh-so-moral hypocrites don't like...

All Woods will have to do.....is say he has repented (again) and tell us all that the devil got him off track and made him do it (again) - but now he's right back upon the lords path (again) and all we be forgiven (again).

Isn't that just so cool?

Old republican pig Brit Hume knows this bullshit works.

All republicans like Hume constantly use it....

Just look at all the lying hypocritical republicans at the C Street: Secretive D.C. Christian Group - works for them....

(Don't try and tell anyone that C Street resident MI Rep. Bart Stupak is a democrat, simply because he has a "D" next to his name, the fucker Stupak is a republican through & through)!

So all Woods has to do is announce that he too has given his life to Jesus, say it publicly and he too is in like Flynn!

Now I may not be a true Christian, but assuming Tiger had offended me to the point where I had to decide whether or not to forgive him, it would depend on the sincerity of his apology and willingness to atone.

20. Quasi-Faux *Christians*
have a lot to personally account for before they actually come close to embracing the lifestyle and mind set of the man whose teachings they attempt to follow.

If this style of judgmental, blinder-wearing, hate promoting, spiritual labeling and shameful holier-than-thou-and-the-rest-of the-world shallowness continues without being intelligently challenged, the peaceful hopes of the people on this planet will remain stagnated in ignorance.

26. Christianity is the one true faith,
Christianity is the one true faith, and is the only path to God, as defined in the Holy Book. (There are three of those - Torah, Bible and Koran, but only one is correct. Choose carefully).

Doesn't everyone know that? Even if Tiger had lived an exemplary life, he would not be saved, as he is not a christian. (By the way which kind of Christianity is Rev. Brit advocating for? Although he never makes that clear, we may surmise that it is some sort of evangelical sort. Don't convert to Catholicism or Mormonism - certainly those are false Christianities).

Also, Tiger must be saved. The question is, saved from what? Redeemed from what? This question is one not oft asked or answered. Ya just gots ta be saved (from what?), to have faith (in what?).

Also, Brit is a buffoon.

the statement by Hume's right wing bigotry parallels white supremacist and neo-nazis ideology of today. His intolerance and disrespect of Tiger Woods being of some other religion is pretty apparent. Bigots like this are very fortunate we have freedom in this country.

49. What a brainfart, & an embarrassment for a supposed journalist.
But Hume does refer to an identifiable phenomenon in American culture: professing a religious epiphany so as to regain lost standing. Prisoners in the hoosegow do it, and so do politicians. It adds an extra touch of "authenticity" (tm) if your epiphany includes conversion to a different sect of Christianity, preferably one stricter than the one you were brought up in, or a different severe religion altogether.

Told us Freedom of Religion isn't to protect we, the people, from Religios persecution. So, he engages in religious persecution. Catholics in Government aren't supposed to represent we, the people, they are supposed to follow orders from the Fuhrer, Savranola XVI.
Freedom isn't what you let yourself do, that is license. Freedom is what you allow the people who disagree with you do.

Oh yeah, he became a good Christian!

And you know what? I simply don't see why everybody suddenly has an opinion about Tiger Woods. I mean, what has happened to him should be a matter between him and his wife, and between them only. It shouldn't be discussed in the media. But since it is, I'll just say I wouldn't blame his wife for leaving him. On the other hand, I can understand that if you are in the position to get 13 women in your bed, you're going to do it!
