7. Cenk misreading it. You can't beat somebody with nobody.
Cenk is wrong on this one. One of the oldest axioms in politics is "You can't beat somebody with nobody."

There is nobody else in line to get this job. In more normal times, there would be 3 or 4 likely candidates. But here is where it gets good. The teabaggers have the rest of the party scared shitless right now. It is bad enough that they can't afford to dump Steele because that would put the teabagger thing into full Civil War mode. The teabaggers would be fighting like crazy to get one of those lunatics into the chair.

Of course I'd love to see that happen because as far as I can tell every one of the teabaggers is a foll-blown retard incapable of competently doing something as simple as making a poster. They would have no chance of actually running a real political party successfully.

But the GOP insiders can't take the chance of letting this happen, so at the winter meetings, Steele will not be challenged. That makes it very interesting because he is just about as divisive and inept as the teabaggers.

3. We will see just how big their tent really is I suspect.
Nice seeing the other side have the same problems we always seem to have.

6. We will see just how big their tent really is I suspect.
They put Steel where he is to counter Obama. "We have a black man too! We aren't prejudice!" Just like with Palin and Clinton. "We like women! See???"

But alas for the GOP, the domestics got uppity and forgot their place. Which, I might add, is NOTHING like the problems "we" always seem to have. "We" expect our folks to participate equally and have their say. "They" expect lockstep loyalty. Our hang ups seem to come from a excessive flow of ideas (good and bad) and opinions. Theirs come from having no ideas or just a few with their "tokens", chosen for the way they look and not their talents, going "rogue".

5. Putney strikes back!
Swope is the only black man on the executive board of an advertising firm, and is accidentally put in charge after the death of the chairman of the board. Following the unexpected death of the chairman, each member of the board believes that he, himself, should be elected to the board. However, the bylaws of the corporation prohibit voting for oneself for the chair, so each individual member votes in a secret ballot for the person that no one else would vote for: Putney Swope.

8. I disagree with the term "playing the race card" in this instance
As if there aren't racist Republicans who don't want Steele leading the party. Look at how they treat Obama.
