a basis for the future? Is not any legislation a basis for the future? So it passes, now what. I see this as strong legislation for HC companies and weak for the people. Let's see how long it'll take to make it even better for them and weaker for us. That said, I hope I'm proved wrong. So far that hasn't been the case.

i'm sorry ... how the 2 percent 'have mores' and 25 percent of
america's 'haves' and wannabes and mouth breathers derailed
the health care sought by 73 percent of the public is beyond
me. 

this is not some magical beginning that will morph into true
'health care' legislation ... this is 'health insurance'
legislation designed to scam taxpayers by corporate welfare
queens for billions of taxpayer dollars ... it may get
corrected to include the 18 million of your countrymen left
out someday ... but until there is public funding of
elections, this pork ain't gettin' cured anytime soon.

this sham is the best the brightest could do? so sad ... there
are too many good examples of how to deliver health care by
taking some of this and some of that from the rest of the
truly civilized world to make something suitable for america
...
