Now don't get me wrong here. I'm not part of the nutcase nation of "birthers or tea-baggers.

For those of us old enough to remember, Obama reminded us of all the hope and change embodied by the real agents of change we grew up on — the Kennedy's, Martin Luther King, and the like. For those of you much younger, I figure he represented a new hope for the future of those most invested in it. I voted for Barack Obama for one reason — and that is because I believed all of that "yes, we can" he represented. Those speeches moved me, and he truly reminded me of everything I ever hoped was still possible.

What I see now disturbs me much. Obama's cabinet is stacked with the same corporate types who wrecked the economy for ordinary, working class Joe's like you and me. It's about the money. As in you and me, baby. Gay marriage? Abortion? It's all designed purely as a distraction. The real battle is about who is going to make the money, and who is not. In reality, the bottom line is that it all comes down to economics. That's the real truth. It's about the haves and the have-nots. And right now, the "haves" are doing everything they possibly can to make sure that peasants like you and me continue to have not.

We seem to be asleep these days, but in this new year, I think it's inevitable we are going to wake up.

Fix it, Mr. Obama. Please. Grow a set. Otherwise, you can look forward to a one-term presidency.

1. Inspirational...

Isn't it funny that no matter who's elected
The rich keep getting richer, the poor and middle class neglected?
Making money off the backs of those they pretend to represent
And counting on "the people" to be uneducated and ignorant
Sending money overseas and the jobs as well
We need to show these motherf^ckers they can go to hell
But it doesn't seem to matter who we put in charge
Our wallets gettin slim as their own are gettin large

It's a start.

2. with the collapse
of the three towers the alleged plane into the pentagon and the unbelievable answers to this very day surrounding the events of 9-11 what better way to lull the people back to sleep than obama with his promises of change and transparency. there is nothing new in politics under obama just the same old bussines as usual and if you dont believe that look at the background of his appointes its really unbelievable.

3. There's more to it than we know
Edited on Sun Jan-10-10 11:38 AM by TatonkaJames
Ever read how plans for planes or any technology are on the drawing board ? They go back years and we only see the results today. Well, check out this book;
"The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy And Its Geostrategic Imperatives." Zbigniew Brzezinski
If you think these present wars are for oil alone, go back to start and try again. Everyone knows we can't continue borrowing the way we are, so who's to say we owe anything if we are in partnership with the main players in the world 50 years down the line being US and a handful of nations who control the rest of the worlds nations ?
