2. Wow, powerful song. I had to Google since I'd never heard it before (old fart here).
Seems there was a lot of controversy over it. Quite the write up over at Wikipedia.
Thanks for posting.

3. RIght now, watching Michael Jackson is like ripping a scab off
a very deep and raw wound... There is so much pathos involved with how he died as well as how he lived the last decade of his life... It just makes me very sad.

6. yes, sad is the word
I went and saw "This is It" when it was released. I walked away from that show with a sense of great personal doom and sadness.

I felt like it could have been me or numerous other people that happen to come to mind that have crossed my path in life.

I couldn't shake that sense of sadness, that sense of imminent death and gloom.

It was not but 2 weeks later that I myself almost died. I felt like MJ was right there along my side the entire time. It was bizarre and odd. I'll never forget MJ in my lifetime.

I was a fan yes, but since his death I now realize that he had a huge message he was attempting to convey which became ugly and twisted and framed him as a pedophile, something I never believed to be true.

Sad is only one word to describe how I feel about his death. There is a lesson in this for everyone and as your signature conveys from the late George Santayana ... "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -- George Santayana.

And so it does.

:dem:

7. I didn't know about your own personal scare...
I'm glad to hear things worked out for you. And, yes, I too keep getting these intense messages of mortality lately, though it has it roots in events years ago... as I lost a dear friend in the Kenyan Embassy bombings. She had just adopted 5 foster children of various ages with her husband and was starting a new life. I really wondered then why it hadn't been me or someone like me, with no children (and minimal family).

MJ's death seems hard to reconcile given such a waste of potential and possibilities (and second chances).

I guess we just have to keep pushing on and not give in to the sadness or loss. Stay well and stay hopeful.

more surgery soon. I fear I am hooked on morphine myself but frankly I don't care I am in so damn much pain. ugh.

Thanks for your kinds words. I think we have a lot in common (no kids, no relatives worth two hoots in hell, etc.)! It makes one feel worthless in the society we live in.
