The reason I consider this a political video is that Letterman has a democratic bend to his show. He has had interesting interviews with environmentalists and liberal politicians and he has always bashed bush, cheney, mccain and limbaugh. Leno on the other hand gave a crazy softball interview with limbaugh.

Plus I know it's subjective but I think Letterman is much funnier.

So this a fun video with Letterman bashing nbc and leno.

4. well, Letterman also gave a pretty softball interview to bush three weeks before the 2000 election
as far as politics go ;) But I generally like Letterman, even though I don't really watch him and don't usually find either him or Leno earth-shatteringly funny.

One thing for sure, though: Letterman's gotta be thrilled to be viewing this NBC debacle from afar :)

6. Well someone's having a lot of fun!
Great Leno impression, by the way. You'd almost think there was bad blood between the two of them.

Nothing's funnier than a bunch of middle aged millionaires feuding.

7. I
I wonder if Dave has talked to Conan. If anyone knows what Conan is going through it's Dave. NBC?Jay are doing to Conan what they did to Dave back in 1992.I seriously hope Jay suffers for this. I hope his image is shattered and people despise him. I hope his ratings tank, Dave stays on top and Conan sues NBC big time. How NBC and Jay think they will come out of all of this is beyond me. Dave hit it right on the nail when he said it's all about the money and nothing else. Listen to Dave,he should know!

9. Jay didn't do anything to Conan. Didn't you learn anything from
Dave's clip? Dave just told you Conan wanted Leno's job and NBC told Leno to take a hike. Nice.
Now that the affiliates don't want Conan, NBC is moving Leno back to his old spot, and moving Conan out an hour.

NBC is the bad guy, not Jay. Or maybe you should blame Conan for kicking Jay out of his job. Karma sucks.

13. The affiliates don't want Conan?!
Where do you get that?!

It's obvious that the affiliates don't want Jay as a lead-in to their news.

8. OUCH! What did make the geniuses
at nbc think leno would be a good idea at 10pm programming weekday nights opposed to the CSIs, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, etc?

10. That was just priceless
After all these years, Dave finally got NBC. Nailed them straight on the head. Loved the Pluto joke at the end about Carson Daily.

11. This puppy simply doesn't want to play...
Been trying this video all day...and it won't play...even at the U-tube site. Guess they don't like out-of-country-viewers??

Oh well...another day.

12. Keep in mind
Keep in mind the executives that make these decisions make seven figure salaries.

Most of the people on DU could do their job better than they do!

I've seen in my life that many, but not all, executive types are there partly because they know how to get a good job.

Not that they're any good at actually performing the job.

Highly compensated positions tend to attract sociopaths.
