this rather than show you don't know the history of the Democratic Party. Here's one example of why she is right:

During the presidency of James Buchanan, the Democrats split over the issue of slavery. At its convention at Charleston in April, 1860, Stephen A. Douglas was the choice of most northern Democrats but was opposed by those in the Deep South. When Douglas won the nomination, Southern delegates decided to hold another convention in Baltimore and in June selected John Beckenridge of Kentucky as their candidate. The situation was further complicated by the formation of the Constitutional Union Party and the nomination of John Bell of Tennessee as its presidential candidate.

Both parties have had there moments when they were unkind to the people. Compare the Republicans during Lincoln to the Republicans of today.

23. What about the Republican running?

You know, the party that was "in power" when this catastrophe began? You see, that is what makes this all look so phony. If you are a TRUE independent, you don't just change to being one to get revenge or as the wind blows. And you also do not just target ONE individual or party, you say you are then going to run if impeachment isn't put "on the table" by CONGRESS to defeat both the Democrat AND Republican that enabled it. And actually, you do it in a year where if "elected" you could actually make a difference, not in the year the bastards will (hopefully) be out anyway. Sounds to me like she is more Republican than Independent in this instance, and personally while I agree that impeachment is the remedy, I don't respect her tactics and I question her true motives here. It seems that it has become more about her and getting publicity for herself.
