What a sorry attempt at encouraging people to join in on the reief effort. It doesn't appear to me that his heart is in it.

as if this call for help interrupted his retirement plans. He can't even fake a shred of compassion for a minute or two. Next we can put Barbara at the podium so she can tell us how the Haitians are better off now because of all the aid the world is sending them. What a pathetic family.

I would not send him a penny. Smug, arrogant, thieving *astard. *uck!!!!!!!! I have to question what Obama was thinking here. Really, when I read that Clinton was going to work with * to scoop up the cash for Haiti I really didn't give it much thought but watching this video makes me physically ill!

Compare Clinton's efforts and that sorry piece of &&&& in that video. Like night and day.
He was trapped, as he asked Clinton and his father to work on the tsunami, so he could hardly say no. Obama made it appear he was welcoming George, but I think he knew it was going to be an uncomfortable situation for him and might teach him a lesson or two.
That was the sorriest plea for help I can ever recall.

It can't help but make Obama and the dems look good by comparison...and sometimes the country needs a not-so-subtle reminding of what we were under for 8 years.
AND since republicans have demonstrated they don't know what the hell to do in the midst of crisis, I would PREFER they just send their money and stay home, before they screw up any real recovery effort!

Contempt, stubbornness - which were always there - coupled with an apparent boredom. I think the guy got tired of being president around the same time a majority of Americans got tired of him being president.

Similar to how right-wingers claim there were "no terrorist attacks" on Bush's watch (ignoring 9/11) yet Obama "screwed up" on the underwear bomber.
So they will claim "no botched disaster responses" under Bush - ignoring Katrina - and claim Obama "botched" this one...somehow.

I haven't missed this man one jot since the moment he was finally out of his puppet position of power. The horrors he brought to this country are immense and we may never fully recover. (He was not alone in this. The real wretches are still around being very vocal...old DICK you know who you are)
But if he can get ANYONE to help in this cause, ESPECIALLY those with plenty of cash, I am all for his pleas. peace, Lilly

33. Ugh. Seeing the Former Decider at the White House is |
|
a scary image. I know we should put partisanship aside and all, but what does Bush have to bring to the table? What will he do? I mean, it's not like he has a stellar record in disaster relief (Katrina, anyone?). I think President Obama and Bill Clinton are much more capable of handling the situation themselves, especially since Clinton has been working all over the world for the last 10 years.
Seeing Bush speaking at the WH brings flashbacks of his drunken press conferences, back when he actually had power.

That was pretty much his entire presidency. I know some people are expecting WMD's and some people want to send bullet proof vests. Just send your cash and make the checks payable to Halliburton. It's for the troops.
