1. This needs to be done constantly, everywhere. |
|
The citizens need constant vigilance over those who have chosen public service as a career. Not just the police, but regulatory agencies, politicians, everyone. Just like not knowing where the red light cameras are in a city keeps people from running red lights, maybe not knowing which citizen is recording their actions might keep some of these "public servants" in line. I would be willing to be a part of an organized effort to keep a national dtabase, I just have no organizational skills.

to ask how to file a complaint against a police officer. He was very polite about it, however, most of them became angry and would ask to see his ID, where he lived, if he was on drugs, threaten to write him a ticket/arrest him, etc. In the second half of the video they had a black man drive a car over and over on the same street for a week, where he was eventually pulled over for "swerving" (they had people videotaping him from behind and he was clearly not swerving). The man told the officer he was going to file a complaint for racial profiling and he was given an address and number to call by the officer, both of which were fake (the address was an abandoned building and the number was for a hotel).

Without the brief summary by Clintonista2, I would not have done so.
It really annoys me that people post a link without some sort of summary of what it is. I don't read links or watch videos just to find out whether they were worth the time to read or watch. Tell me why it's worth my time to follow a link.
