5. Absolutely right.
But corporate media is already spinning this their way.
It is a frigging shame.

10. Recommended. I strongly agree.
President Obama was elected with lots of cross-over votes of Republicans and Independents who knew how badly the GOP's Bush Gang had damaged our country. They wanted significant change. They saw how unbalanced our economy had become in favoring the super-rich, how far off track our defense and intelligence agencies had become in violating the Geneva Conventions, and even how destabilized our global climate had become with unchecked carbon emissions and wanted major changes.

We needed more intense, concerted exposure of the mistakes of previous administrations.

But it seems like the Military Industrial Complex, even stronger with the continued rampant privatization of military services, could not be challenged by prosecuting the Bush Gang for its alleged war crimes. Even a Truth & Reconciliation Commission was off the table.

And the Deregulated Financial Complex could not be challenged because Bush tossed billions at them with no strings to keep the global economy held together on his way out the door and very old-fashioned "New Democrats" convinced President Obama to invite them into our treasury department.

So at least the totally unbalanced privatized health insurance system could be called out with bold change? The triggers of decency had been blown off their hinges and over the Bush Gang's 8 years millions more had been driven into bankruptcy from medical bills and dropped from coverage through intricate "recision" policies while private profits soared. But even here-- even when millions were being evicted from their foreclosed homes-- Democrats couldn't be convinced to band together and demonstrate their strength by pushing through Medicare for all on a sliding-scale buy-in. Not even as a starting position.

We needed strong Democratic change and millions of our fellow citizens recognized that and voted for President Obama. They knew a lot of FDR type policies were very practical and it was time for more of those decisively Democratic moves, and watched those possibilities be tossed away under cover of a very peculiar attempt to be bipartisan with a party that abandoned bipartisanship over ten years ago.

Millions crossed over to vote for the party of FDR after 8 years of a very destructive Republican administration. They did not cross over for mild change.
