it's at the very end of this video, after Tweety told him Coakley lost because she was too much like Dean.

2. Tweety was really beating Dean up tonight! Of course Howard
handled him very well! At one point Howard told him he would understand if he didn't keep filibustering the whole time!

5. Why is this drooling buffoon given a platform from which to spout his inane rants?
He reminds me of the overwrought college basketball announcer Dick Vitale.

Except I think Vitale has a good heart.

Tweety? Just fucking embarrassing.

I'm glad Matthews didn't get Dean to lose his cool, which I think was his hope

11. Howard Dean was awesome: Standing up to Tweety, squashing his interruptions while
dodging all that manic bird-brain spittle.

Yes, Dr. Dean was sent into the belly of the beast but still "done us proud." :patriot:

30. I knocked 4000 doors in 08 for Obama
but I wouldn't have bothered to drag my ass to the booth for Coakley much less volunteer for her after what I saw from the dems in 09 (not Coakley's fault btw) and tell you what: I am not going to do it in 2012 for Obama either or any politician as a matter of fact. I have more important things to do than be the useful idiot for these corporate stooges.

19. STFU Matthews!
Jesus why can't Tweety get it through his head? The progressives who are angry with the lack of real change and feel their voice is not being heard in DC stayed home. The independents who are angry with the lack of real change and feel their voice isn't being heard in DC voted for Brown. Coakley made ridiculous gaffs that hurt her at the very same time that anger with this administration was peaking. If she won it would've been a miracle. Lesson to all incumbent Democrats: Listen!

Dean should have been Secretary of the Health and Human Services. We wouldn't be in this mess right now.

21. Tweety is what he is; A fool of mammoth proportions. He tosses up straw men as
Edited on Thu Jan-21-10 01:30 AM by ooglymoogly
If they have meaning like a broken record. Especially in Ma. nobody likes this bill because they, we, wisely, already took care of the problem of healthcare. O's bill is a poison pill just like medicare prescription X 1000 and they know it. Of course Martha said she would vote for the bill and that is why she lost. All the stuff she said about the public option was just talk, just like the rest of the dems in Washington; The voters here knew it. They are tired of hearing, "oh yes, we are for everything you are for, so vote for me", and then off they go to join the corporate mary-go-round and for us? fugedaboudit. Many like me think this bill is deadly to the Dem party. The apathy and anger has become overwhelming. Tweety sees only corporate spin and how he can manipulate everything to the right with dumb show and noise. Consider the corporate spin has begun; The corporate shell game is afoot. If you just took the elderly (you know the folks who consistently vote) who, rightly, are scared to death of the half trillion to be taken from medicare and their safety net and hand it over to the HC industry and the fact that they will vote for whoever is against this sham, even though the prez says it will not impact them in any way and he has a bridge to sell them, ha,ha, and you have lost their harts and minds; Who in their right minds trust what the prez sez anymore, or any politician for that matter where money and folks lives are concerned. This fiasco will go down as just the first of many if O keeps shafting his base. If he does not see the Pandora's box he has carelessly opened with his smooth talkin', too cute by half, shell game ass and feel its might, his presidency is doomed to failure and his legacy will be no greater than that of one of history's most notorious sunken ships The SS Herbert Hoover. You cannot lose the elderly vote and stay afloat, nor can you stupidly add the progressives to that defiant and angry list. When apathy turns to; Why bother, cus it just does not matter who wins, cus they are all the same, its over.

Howard Dean is one of the very few rays of light in this bleak picture.

23. Howard Dean the grassroots activist chair
Dean won elections because he empowered the roots of the Democrats which is their voter base. Tim Kaine is a miserable failure at winning elections because he cares more for hiding in a closet until it is time to say peek-a-boo. He only cares for raising money with lobbyists and corporate absolutists. He should be fired.

Cenk Yugur would have been a better person in this instance since his explanation is more clearer as to what happened:

29. K&R for DEAN. STFU to Tweety
What is so hard for Matthews to understand. Clearly MA voted against the Health Care Reform bill. After the election they were asked "Why?"

I am shocked to hear that 18% of Obama voters voted for Brown!

I wonder how many Obama voters stayed home. I would have been in that group.

32. DEAN IS RIGHT
Tweety insisted that the election was a referendum on a single issue
Why? So he could be "controversial" and play "hard ball"
what a jerk - he of course knew that Dean's argument had merit because it was backed up with polling information
but Matthews, like always, wants to be sensational
Tweety is a HACK!

33. I tried to watch this yesterday, but Tweety never shuts up
He interrupts incessantly & repeats himself endlessly. I began mentally composing an email to MSNBC suggesting that they arm a couple of interns with blow guns loaded with tranquilizers: I realize Tweety can't actually be made unconscious but I thought it might slow down his mouth. Good grief.

34. Quite frankly, I think this is a horrible interview and Dean isn't getting his message across.
Tweety is just spouting his crap and actually making sense in the process. Dean is right, of course, but Matthews isn't giving him enough time to answer the questions fully. I can't cheerlead this video. Sorry.
