Full segment in one go: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/vp/34985795#34985795

Check here for the transcript: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32390088/ns/msnbc_tv-rachel_maddow_show/

Rachel starts off by going ballistic on the GOP for their all out war on the Obama administration by doing everything they can to kill any Health Care Reform and talks with Congressman Barney Frank about The Supreme Court giving new powers to corporations to spend money on elections and his views on the future of health reform.

I remember Boehner saying just after the 08 election results came in that he and his party will do everything they could to stop President Obama from fulfilling his campaign promises. I can't find a link to a video of it, though. Does anyone else remember that extremely recalcitrant speech he made?

1. Corporations will have a fiduciary responsibility to drown our democratic process in money.
There's just no other way to look at it. If a corporation recognizes that a law impedes their ability to make a profit for their shareholders, they would be deemed irresponsible if they did not drown federal elections in cash to stop the law.

The Supreme Court has just released an existential threat to the United States of America as we know it. The fact that this was done via a vicious smear attack on Hillary Clinton is just rancid icing on the cake these oligarchs want to force down the throat of democracy. I hope and pray that Frank is right and that this can be corrected in corporate law.

6. I agree 100%, but
time is running out. The obstructionists (the entire repub party) will keep up their stalling tactics (Boehner, admitted this, as shown in the clip) until election time. Then they will run on the (correct) platform, that the Democratic party as a majority, can't even get a HCR bill passed. Honestly, the current bill is pretty worthless. IMO, (and they know how to do this but want the insurance contributions, especially after todays horrendous SCOTUS decision) the Democrats should write a new bill or use HR676 (single payer legislation by Kucinich) and force 51 Democrats to vote for it. 82% of Americans want it. I really think this is their only chance to stay in power and to help Americans.

5. would a corporation post on DU? IMPEACH!
there is no defense of this ruling, it is premised on the faulty
premise that corporations are "persons" protected by the first
amendment.

No law may now be passed to avert this catastrophe of democracy.

IMPEACH and remove 5 Justices of the Supreme Court. That is all
that can be done. If it is not done now, it will be too late.

4. Somehow,
government itself has become a burden to the American people. There needs to be fundemental changes to the way we are governed. Too much power has been given to a branch of government that leans toward one party of government that on the surface is corrupt to the core.

7. Boehner will do everything they could to stop President Obama from fulfilling his campaign promises
America is still a center-right country. This election was neither a referendum in favor of the left's approach to key issues nor a mandate for big government. Obama campaigned by masking liberal policies with moderate rhetoric to make his agenda more palatable to voters. Soon he will seek to advance these policies through a Congress that was purchased by liberal special interests such as unions, trial lawyers and radical environmentalists, and he'll have a fight on his hands when he does so.

Republicans have a responsibility to offer a better way. We must reaffirm Americans' faith in our party by reminding them why ours traditionally has been a party of reform rooted in freedom and security. This will not happen overnight. We must make the case one issue at a time, offering solutions to our country's biggest challenges to earn back the American people's trust and rebuild our majority.

8. America is a LIBERAL nation . . . and the proof of that is that the right wing ...
has only been able to rise on political violence, assassinations and

stolen elections!!

As Newt Gringrich confirmed to Clinton -- "If we told the truth, we'd lose!"

PLUS look at all they need to control because one bit of truth would be so damaging

to them -- publishing houses, corporate press, newspapers, TV . . .

even infiltrating libraries --

Their right wing propaganda is very effective, sadly --

But one pebble of truth will easily shatter their right wing myths --

and they know it!!
