4. Legalize it!
How long have people been saying this? How long will we have to do so before we are FREE to CHOOSE to smoke pot or not - the same way people are FREE to CHOOSE to drink alcohol or not. As adults I am shocked at how many rights we just hand over to the government when it comes to our own personal recreational time, whether that be gambling, prostitutes, drugs, whatever. Making something illegal NEVER makes it go away - it just makes it more dangerous and expensive. Fuckin stupid.

11. I believe they recognize the growing populist/libertarian convergence movement in the nation
and they're trying to take advantage of it.

I suspect the Republicans will become more friendly to Mary Jane legalization in the upcoming election this year as a means of trying to reconnect with the people.

I also believe the Republicans would be doing so ultimately as a way to protect corporate supremacy in other areas.

Finally as a remedy I believe the Democratic Party needs to get behind legalization, lest the Republicans out flank them.

8. Beer goes good with smoke after 5 pm.
They should not, however, be combined before then or before church. The only exceptions are weddings, funerals, concerts, sporting events, brunches, intercourse or post intercourse relaxation in lieu of a cigarette, which is actually quite bad for your health.

9. The Schwarzschild Solution
Is the solution to the General Relativity equation for a non-rotating spherically-symmetric mass; among other things the solution predicts Black Holes. When I was young and dumb, and full of…

My area of directed study was General Relativity and my first (pony league graduate paper) was the derivation of the Schwarzschild Solution and its implications. To do this I needed to know Tensor Calculus, night after night I would dedicate my mind to its study: Covariant & Contravariant coordinates & vectors, 2nd rank tensors in 4-D space, the Metric Tensor, the Christoffel symbol of the second kind, and on and on and blah, blah, blah. How can one focus on such a task? How can one isolate oneself so completely from the world as to immerse oneself in the other worldly? Easily, smoke a dubbie and that is what I did, night after night.

I derived the equations, solved the problem, created the view graphs (an ancient technology preceding PowerPoint) and on a cold winter day, in a 19xx I readied to depart my hotel room for a Sigma Pi Sigma (National Physics Honor Society) conference for my presentation. But before leaving the Mormon Marriot, I smoked a dubbie.

Relaxed and ready, I made my presentation; with the showmanship only a dubbie can inspire. The crowd roared and a recruiter from SUNY approached afterward…full Ph.D. scholarship with stipend. Come to Long Island and enjoy the cold because they have no effect on Einstein’s field equations.

The take away is don’t smoke pot, it will isolate you from the world and make you think deep thoughts. You will think deep thoughts about the legitimacy of government policy and question/investigate the accuracy of Fox News. You will come to have faith in experts in fields you know nothing about such as climatology and believe in Global Climate Change. Join the Republican Party by going to www.stopthinkingnow.profit and become a useful idiot.

14. That was super bizarre
I can't believe Fox had them on and didn't give them a hard time.

Something strange is going on. Are the Republicans turning libertarian regarding pot usage?
