If you listen to the whole thing, he says that Keith, Rachel, Adam Greene, Katrina , and Ed are all invited to the SOTU

2. The Serious problem Conservative Democrats have is they have

run giving the impression they are kinder gentler Republicans.
They have almost ignored the Democrats in their states and
have competed directly with Republicans for the Business Vote
and Republican citizens.(Half the country does not vote and
there is a reason).

When you have run as a kinder gentler Republican, calling
yourself a Democrat, you cannot attack Conservatism as
the engine that drove us into the ditch. ADD. You insult
your Republican Supporters.

9. No, he'd probably lose in a landslide. ND went for McCain 53% - 45%

22. How'd the white guys do in New Jersey and Virginia? ND is a conservative state. Ed isn't going to
change that no matter how much he "kicks ass."

4. I wish
that telling Robert Gibbs he was "full of shit" and he was "losing his base" would have made it on air. He is truly full of shit.

11. Agree with the sentiment, but the populists among us don't seem timid.
It is the corporate flacks who might prefer the populist message not get out. We may be looking at this the wrong way. Not entirely sure I am right, just putting it out there, but will give it some more thought.

12. I prefer a populist fighter just about any day, even a former conservative like Big Eddie.
Odd that so many don't seem to get it. Even conservatives love a fighter and will elect one that has progressive views.

Talking to real conservatives, even angry ones, I can tell you they respect someone who gets right back in their faces.

8. Every Democrat needs to be speechifyin' like this AND THEN MEAN IT
Go Big Eddie. I don't always agree with everything he says, and yes he'll put his foot in his mouth every once in a while, but he is on our side all the way. This is how you take populism back from the people who so cynically have stolen it.

far better than most of the sell outs currently in DC. As another said, I like Alan Grayson quit a bit too.

Most of 'em are too busy washing Goldman's Sachs to care about 90% of the United States population.

Honestly, I hope people keep flipping incumbents until we get one that will represent the people over the most wealthy minority.

The most wealthy may have the cash but we have the numbers, ie the votes. Put them bastards out.

19. It sure sounded like a campaign speech to me!
But maybe he can't run now because Supremes had more of a corporate candidate in mind--for now at least. Hopefully later it will be his time. Perhaps he could run against that DLC jackass Kent Conrad. But Ed's right. We can't stop fighting. If we do stop, well, use your imagination.

34. I don't agree with Big Ed
on all the issues he champions, and am often at odds with the delivery of his message. But the guys heart is in the right place and his cause is just. I would back his campaign, and would certainly vote for him in an election if given the opportunity.
