I live in a region where eery day, another four hundred acres of American Rain Forest is chopped down for the sake of the over pesticided, and under sustainable, vineyards.

Thinking about Mom Nature's gift to us - trees, and how we care not a whit about the wild life that needs them, truly breaks my heart.

In Lake County we lose 15% of our deer each year to this loss of habitat. No one has done the scientific surveys on the birds, and the coyote, bears and cougars, skinks, snakes, frogs, toads, skiunks, possum, fox, rabbit, hare, pheasant, et cetera and what happens to them, but I imagine the impact htits them even harder (People in my subrurban style sub division are kind to the deer - but no one cares too much about being kind to fox, coyote and cougar.)
