"I teach contract law at Harvard and I don't understand my own credit card agreement." Straight talk from Prof. Elizabeth Warren on the way Wall Street has been allowed to pillage and plunder the average American.

2. Fortunately Corporations Have "Free" and Unlimited Speech Now!
Poor babies have been shut out of the system for so long now.

Yeah, sarcasm.

3. people have woken up.
the coffee is going cold.

the way i see this.. this whole f*#king affair. there are people who know whats going on, but for every one that knows there are one hundred that don't. the people who are doing this have all the power.. have all the money, run the media, and they love themselves.

their power is growing and and when they need more they just ramp up the propaganda. get the stupid gullible robots to fight for them. everyday this sh*t is getting worse. i can't wait to see people in american flag shirts walking down the streets with signs saying "keep your hands off my banks money obama" or "leave AIG alone!" ill bet they love buying up all those houses and throwing families on the street. they'll make a killing. literally. the suffering of poor people will be a wet dream to them.

i would say wake up. but i am sick of hearing it. go back to sleep

6. Welcome to DU de(mi)-mobilizer
I appreciate your observations but not the demobilizing idea of "going back to sleep." People who are against what you stand for invest lots of time and money to demobilize you, why help them? Yeah, I understand the frustration. Still.

5. The screwed masses
Edited on Mon Jan-25-10 10:19 AM by 90-percent
Why aren't all the people that lost their homes and lost their life savings and lost their retirements responding to all this?

They don't seem to exist or even have a voice anywhere. They take all this unfair abuse silently and without protest?

Where is the uprising? Other than grumbling and marveling at the greed, there seems to be no other concerted action taking place.

It appears powerful elites can take away everything a working American has toiled for in their lifetimes and not face any repercussions from anybody?

Do we have to start stepping over rotting human corpses on the street before we take some action?

-90% Jimmy

You can clearly see where Elizabeth's heart is. That's what I look for in a leader: what are they all about and what makes them go.
