94% of Oprah's Audience Side with Conan |
|
In his sit down with Oprah, Jay admitted that he never calls Bush a Jerk because he doesn't want to alienate his audience.

1. Sir, that was excellent and totally right. |
|
Leno and Oprah are both clueless little dictators who are forever out of touch with us little people.

Thanks. It really was sort of surreal watching the two of them talk their insiders talk without any clue about how it made them look to their audience.

I watched the entire interview and thought Oprah was asking him tough questions but was disappointed at the end to hear Oprah was on Team Jay. She allowed Jay to go on her show and win over some people. He is a first class BS artist. He even said something about being nice when joking about Bush so you don't anger those who like him. The man is a spineless scum bag and I hope his show bombs!

Yeah, I really perked up when I heard him admit that he tailors his material so as not to offend Bush supporters.

8. I wouldn't worry too much about Leno winning over her audience |
|
By looking at most of the people in her audience, they were overwhelmingly in the older demographic (which Leno holds anyways). Young folks will stick with COCO.
Leno is an absolute weasel.

I like Conan, but his material sucked. Andy Richter was a useless side-kick too. Glad Leno will be back.

Leno is such a douche; I wish he would just go away.
I watched Oprah's interview with him and the discussion she had with her audience afterwards, I noticed all of the old white women were defending Leno (did I mention they all looked like republicans?). The younger members in the audience (who were few and far between) were partial to Conan.
Oprah was completely out of touch and delusional. She admitted she wasn't even following the news on this story. She made it very clear she sided with Leno.
I would have like to have seen someone mention Leno's long history of backstabbing behavior and lack of respect amongst most comics. Also, she never mentioned that Conan maintained the target (younger demographic 18-49). Lots of details were left out.
She should have Conan on to tell his side of the story.

9. I side with CoCo too. I'm a Letterman fan, but |
|
enjoy Conan, and Ferguson.
I'm in the older demographics, and I enjoy the jokes about something and the jokes about nothing. And, I love their political humor.
As far a Leno not making jokes about Bush*, he sure had no problem poking fun of Clinton while Ken Starr wasted millions hounding him.
I watched a couple of episodes of Leno at 10, and he did nothing for me. I'd rather re-watch Olbermann.

12. Synpathy for Conan to walk away with $35M. STFW? Haiti, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yeman, Palestine. I'd |
|
rather be Conan than a Bangaladeshi. Conan owes a little to the rest of the planet. Otherwise: Why give a poop over Conan or NBC?????
