could it be Obama's initials. It's funny -- even their dog is friendly and nice.

Michelle, like a lot of Moms, had veto power and vetoed their earlier choices. She okayed their suggestion of Bo.

Apparently the Obamas know other people who have a dog named Beau and the girls took the idea from them.
