I'm afraid that the greedy industrialist would rather give most of the $$ to the CEO instead of paying a more equal wage or carrying for older workers. 401K is the perfect way to privatize the pension program. I wonder how it is going to play out?

I think that the demise of defined benefit pensions (and shift to 401(k)) and the declining union memberships will be two of the things historians point to when they write about the demise of the middle class.

Dennis valiantly fought against the shift to cash balance pensions, which were legalized by the so-called Pension "Protection" Act last year.

Dennis voted against the Pension Protection Act, along with 113 other House Dems.

Sadly, workers were screwed by the Senate Dems. Baucus and Kennedy were the lead negotiators and sold out the American worker.

Ok, here it is: I suspect that any organized labor groups that do not endorse Dennis Kucinich, the man who best represents their members, may need some inner house cleaning and reform. What is the point of organizing, if you don't work to support those who best support you?
