Health care reform WILL PASS . Whatever untrue hype you heard from the Republicans, like "Nancy Pelosi doesn't have the House votes" is simply NOT TRUE . Pelosi does have the votes . The Republicans are playing a desperate mind game as a last ditch effort to stop health care reform . A bluff, if you will, is the last hand in this card game, the Republicans have . The tax payers, sick, and U.S. economy will win this card game . The Republicans and insurance lobbyist will lose . Just to prove this to be true, look at the video where it shows lobbyist are in full swing to try to stop this reform so they can protect their interest .

1. Sounds good ... but

I am sensing a little deliberate cheerleading from Rachel here. She also avoided claiming that a public option would pass. I get the impression that the wheels may be turning to avoid reconciliation, which the Dems seem to be a little nervous about actually trying (lest the Republicans successfully paint it as 'the nuclear option' / some kind of 'cheating') and that we're going to get the ugly, abortion-banning, middle-class taxing Senate bill, with promises to patch it up later.

I hope I'm wrong.

2. No, you are right, Rachel never said a public option would pass
but she said SOMETHING would be done, with 51 or 59, something would pass. I'm sure it won't be pretty, and it won't look like much of what we all wanted, nor will it look like something we can be proud of.

I'm not sure a bill that passes THIS year and really doesn't benefit people until several years from now will NOT help us much in November.

The President and the 60 Seat Senate majority last year could have done something better, and to heck with 40 Republican Senators, to heck with Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and the Insurance and Pharma industries. That's what should have happened, and seniors with drug costs, many uninsured, and many families would be better off today, and tens of thousands LESS would be dead now. But Obama and the Democratic majorities in House and Senate INSTEAD wanted it to make it look "bi-partisan"... look where THAT got us!!!

Is not a majority. We never had 60.
