2. That didn't seem to bother the senile old fraud
when his party controlled all three branches of government and was going into debt to China to pay for their reckless tax cuts to billionaires.

Somehow the word "hypocrisy" seems a little inadequate to describe these evil men.

3. I expect he's felt this way for about a year
now. Before that, what was it "Shoots guy in Face" said, ... deficits don't matter?

4. I want a country without an azz like Bunning in the Senate.
For some reason Bunning has caught the "I'm more important than anyone else" virus, that first affected Sarah Palin, then Liebermann, and a few other Senators.

He thinks national headlines, good or bad, are good for him, just like Sarah.

This kind of politician, I can't find the words bad enough to describe.

5. Negotiating unfair trade deals with countries like China will tend to do that.
Edited on Tue Mar-02-10 03:14 PM by Cali_Democrat
Countries like China have erected huge trade barriers while the US has done the opposite. Is it any wonder why we are now running huge deficits? The government can't take in the money it needs because of all the laid off workers. Lost revenue.

The effect of unfair trade is a tremendous loss of manufacturing jobs, a spiraling trade deficit and the laying off of American workers that now need unemployment benefits because all the jobs have been shipped to Asia.

The budget and trade deficits will continue to put pressure on the US causing us to "owe everybody in the world" and pay benefits to the unemployed.

Baloney! The government can't take in the money it needs because of 2 unnecessary wars... and tax cuts for the rich.... and exemptions like Exxon and their ilk and the churches.

Hell, we could all get a tax break, AND universal health care if they just made corporations and churches (at least their businesses) pay a reasonable tax.

Our Fed taxes are lower than most civilized nations. It was much much higher when Nixon was in office. Clinton raised taxes a little and all boats floated and we had a surplus.

11. That has also contributed to the deficit
Maybe more so. But there's no question that many laid off workers have unfair trade deals to thank for their misfortune.

6. So what did Bunning do during terms in the House and 12 years in the Senate? He helped to pass all
kinds of unfunded things! Bush's unfunded wars and his huge tax cut in 2001, together adding over $5 trillion in debt!

7. Didn't you hear? there was no debt in the country until Jan.20 2009
up until then the country was fine and dandy, the world according to tea baggers and republicons. The stupidity runs deep and the hypocrisy of the right is never ending. Not a freaking peep out of these worthless waste of human skin on the right when their wonderful leaders sold them to the highest bidder, yet let anyone try to help a fellow citizen and they are taking to the streets in outrage. Funny thing is these same assholes will be first in line with their hands out begging gobernment to help them. Remember Joe who wasn't really Joe and who wasn't even a plumber, when the tax man came for his house he sure had his hand out to grab on to a life ring to save his ass.

9. Yet republicans praise Reagan who increased our country's deficit 186% under his administration
Edited on Tue Mar-02-10 03:35 PM by LaPera
Pappy Bush also increased the debt and idiot lying son, George W Bush increased the debt by another whopping 88%!

It's a myth fabricated by republicans that republicans don't want big government, complete bullshit they've sold the America people and media.....

Republicans love big government for their corporations and spend money on wars for profits, corporate subsidies, tax cuts for the rich and corporations, Savings & loans bailouts, bank bailouts, insurance bailouts, useless defense contractors weapons, etc. etc...

17. I want a country with uninterupted prosperity
that uses a machete
To cut through red tape

With fingernails
That shine like justice
And a voice that is dark
Like tinted glass

She is fast and thorough
And sharp as a tack
She's touring the facility
And picking up slack...
