1. A lot of great candidates stepping up to the plate this midterm shaping up real interesting.

2. I'm recommending this so other TarHeels can see who Cal is. I had never heard of him

until I saw this ad. His bio is interesting and, of course, says all the right things. I hope he is truly a Progressive. Our new Democratic Senator Hagan has proved to be a centrist who is hardly a counterweight to our right-wing asshole Dick Burr.

What I have noticed on these candidate websites is that none of them say whether they are Democrats or Republican. You have to dig into the site to find out. Naturally they are all saturated in red, white, and blue. No doubt there is some key marketing rule that they are adhering to in NOT putting the party affiliation on the front page. Maybe they're hoping someone will mistake them for the other party and send them money.
