I hate hearing this all the time "If you like your doctor, then you can keep your doctor..."


Most people are at the mercy of employers and the medical providers who contract with their insurance company.


One of our choices is now a plan that has a wider variety of providers, but hefty deductibles and out of pocket maximums ...out of pocket maximum is $11,000 in network and gulp $33,000 out of network.

The senate bill which the House is now being asked to approve has a maximum out of pocket maximum of $11,900, for people who need to use medical care on a continuous basis those numbers can really add up.
