The day after the Cleveland Browns beatdown the New York Giants on national TV, Cleveland Plain dealer puts ACORN on it’s front page too.

gets good 36 seconds in.

"the story is about some kid, 19 yrs old, screwing up some voter registration forms..
how many, 73 out of 65,000 forms turned in by ACORN in Cuyahoga County....."

edited to add WYVBC personal note about ACORN:

what most people (Dems, Repub, etc) do not know is that ACORN does not register voters.

Only election officials can register voters.

What ACORN does is assist or fill out or otherwise submit voter registration applications to Election Boards.

These boards in turn check the registration information against an existing VRD (voter registration database) as well as check either the voters drivers license # if they have one or last 4 digits of social security number - against those corresponding databases.

Then if the application is successful, a card is mailed to the address listed on the VR form. If that is not a valid address for that person's name, the card will come back and the Registrar or election supervisor knows that this may not be a valid registration.

So in closing, ACORN DOES NOT REGISTER VOTERS.

I interviewed an election director in my state about ACORN. read here:
