2. Yes for all his faults KS had his Matt:31 moment. I stand with him. |
|
When asked why he did this Starr says, with a smile on his face, that it was "not controversial". He just did the right thing.
I have always thought that the important lesson from Matthew 31, the clothed me when I'm naked, fed me when I'm hungry quote of the bible, was that the good folk did not know they were being good. It was just the right and normal thing to do.
I just want to emphasize that I know that authoritarians are amoral people. Perhaps Mr Starr has some morals. Good for him. :patriot:

4. I agree with you completely. |

Starr is a sanctimonious bastard that misused his powers to hound Clinton while spending 59 million dollars of our money. It is little surprise that he loves Kristol. Kristol was one of the two founders of the Project for the New American Century that is responsible for us invading Iraq. He has been proven to be consistently wrong. Along with his fellow neo-cons, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Libby, and a host of neo-cons that dominated the Cheney administration he assured us that we would be welcomed as liberators, the war would be over in couple of months, the cost would be minimal and paid for by the Iraqis, etc. He attempted to smear Obama when he was briefly with the Times and had to retract his bull shit the very same day that he published it. All these people are the scum of the earth.

5. The Republican implosion continues, I love it! |
|
When it gets to the point when a schmuck like Starr rebukes Cheney and Kristol, change is a coming. It really doesn't matter how sincere they are, it does matter that they are doing it..political survival is at the root of this imo. The country benefits from the fact that neocons take another shift, although a slow one, towards irrelevance, as a voice in mainstream conservative politics.
