Jesse's an interesting character.
One minute he's all self-promotion, the next he really seems to have important things on his mind.
For two years he was an unusual -- but not-too-bad -- governor of Minnesota.
Then he decided he wanted a legacy and things went downhill.
Interesting stuff here...

5. Misters Cenk Uygur and Jesse Ventura=REAL FREE MEN |
|
. . .because they have the testicular conscientious fortitude to seek the truth. . . no matter what.
What a breath of fresh air. . .as Jesse compared, in his earlier Larry King interview, his research is like picking up puzzle pieces over time. . .we may never finish this puzzle but a recognizable pattern is emerging. . .enough to know NEITHER political party is for US, the people. . . they both put party before country. . .
As for focusing on keeping our 1st amendment rights of free expression, Jesse, I think we're losing that fight already. . .
I won't speak what I really think anywhere anymore because THEY have technology at their full control. . .including this message board. . .right, Agent Mike?
KEEP SPEAKING OUT, JESSE AND CENK. . .for people like me. . .and protect yourselves when THEY will try to get to you. . .one way or another.
:applause: :applause: :applause:THANKS A MILLION :applause: :applause: :applause:

8. Hyperbolic ridicule works too. |
|
Because the more you have of it the more it reinforces the notion that it is ALL made up... The truth then is diluted by the lie and distortion in the minds of the public.

I never used to be a conspiracy theorist but there are many things now that I look at through my tainted lenses of reality. I think there are people like KKKarl Rove that actually make their dirty tricks bigger and better because they can get away with calling the opponents conspiracy nuts and discredit them for sounding crazy.
Ahh, yes, conspiracy theories, they aren't just for the kook fringe, any more. We should all enjoy them.

Nice that both these guys are on the same wavelength.
Cenk did a great job. He wasn't throwing softballs. He asked some challenging stuff.
Jesse just might be the guy to break through the stranglehold corporations and invisible wizards have on our entire government.
This MIC and CIA have got some real bad ass mother fuckers in it, don't they?

12. Conspiracy theories - the gift that keeps on giving. |
|
"The paranoid message will give more and more, and then it will give even more.
"The entertainment resources of the paranoid message are unrivaled. It offers puzzles, drama, passion, heroes, villains, and struggle. If the story-line can be tied to an historical event, especially one that involves romantic characters and unexpected death, then fiction, history, and popular delusion can be joined in the pursuit of profit.
"The story, moreover, need never end. If evidence appears that refutes the conspiracy, the suppliers of the discrediting material will themselves be accused of being part of the conspiracy. The paranoid explanatory system is a closed one. Only confirmatory evidence is accepted. Contradictions are dismissed as being naive or, more likely, part of the conspiracy itself." - Political scientist Robert S. Robins and psychiatrist Jerrold M. Post, quoted in "Political Paranoia as Cinematic Motif: Stone's 'JFK'" which was presented at the 1997 Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association

20. Sure, there are conspiracies in the USA, but not everything is a conspiracy. |
|
Things not a conspiracy involving the US gov, et al: JFK murder & 9/11.
Things involving a conspiracy - the things you listed above, plus the Lincoln assassination for starters.
Follow the evidence is all I ask. Opinions aren't evidence.

That means that you need to be aware of the difference between evidence and opinion/hearsay.
Example: science is evidence-based, religion is opinion-based.
Same applies to CTs. There's evidence, and then there's fantasy. The CTist mindset is prone to believe fantasies and to fabricate intricate plots out of thin air.
Case in point is this whopper from Jesse Ventura in the interview with Cenk:
"Did you know today you still cannot get Lee Harvey Oswald's tax return because of national security? Now, how would his tax return affect national security? Well, if he was a paid CIA agent or something and got money from the government, it would leave a paper trail."
Oooo. Sounds ominous, doesn't it? What is there in Oswald's tax record that is so incriminating that sinister government forces are keeping it all secret?
Well, the fact is that by 1992, 98% of the Warren Commission records had been released to the public. Six years later, at the conclusion of the Assassination Records Review Board's work, all Warren Commission records, except those records that contained tax return information from ANY private citizen whose tax returns were examined by the WC, were available to the public with only minor redactions. The remaining Kennedy assassination related documents are scheduled to be released to the public by 2017, twenty-five years after the passage of the JFK Records Act.
So, Mr Ventura is creating controversy where there is none. Oswald's tax records weren't released because nobody's tax records were released. Following Ventura's "logic," we should be concerned that JFK himself was a paid CIA operative because his tax records weren't released, either.
The non-release of tax records wasn't limited to Oswald and it had nothing to do with national security. It had to do with respecting the privacy of any and all people who had their tax records examined by the WC.
And, Mr Ventura is blissfully unaware that even these tax records are due to be released in 7 years. Perhaps Ventura believes that to be a moot point as the world is ending in 2012 and those tax records will never be seen by human eyes.
Effin' CT nut.

I don't know if 911 was a conspiracy (or if the Bush admin was complicit) but I do wonder this - what was Bush doing in a Florida classroom (being filmed) at the time it happened? How often did he travel around doing that?

18. there's a lot of truth there |
|
I never thought some degree of critical observation and just common reasoning was so lacking in so many people until I saw the same things Mr Ventura talks about and everyone was being stifled back after the election was stolen via the supreme court who just took it upon themselves to handle a state matter (!) and no body- no body seemed to know how illegal that was. Thankfully DU is putting this stuff out. Wait till Pawlenty starts running: just as Cenk says, no conscience means automatic admission into something over on the right.
