1. Can you imagine what this country would be today had the New Deal programs not been enacted? |
|
Beck and his ilk are so beholden to an ideolgy that they would cut off their noses to spite their faces.
They know the New Deal galvanized the next several generations of support for progressive policies and the conservatives don't want it to happen again.

19. Beck is a brilliant performance artist lampooning the extreme far right. Like Coulter. |
|
Of course they may not be aware of it.

however I'm quite familiar enough with Glenn Beck and I really have no interest in anything he has to say.

18. Same here! That man needs a padded cell instead of |
|
a television program seen by millions of uneducated Americans with little ability to think logically.
Fox News will destroy America, I am sure of it.

6. That would be the natural progression of things now, |
|
wouldn't it? How far off can the call for cross-burnings and breeding farms be? I predict Beck's gonna irretrievably insert his foot down his throat one of these days. He's gonna end up making a comment about being nappy-headed or some such. His tongue is testing the limits every day. It's just a matter of time before it snags itself. Gonna be FUN to watch!

5. Newsflash to Glenn Beck... |
|
we did not become communist as a result of The New Deal. In fact, we had some of our most prosperous capitalistic decades after The New Deal- in spite of those nasty unions. Oh, and in case you'd like to do some research: there was this hugh drought called the Dust Bowl which lasted years, caused unemployment, displaced a large portion of our population, and served to prolong what we call the Great Depression. Look it up! Europe didn't have that little problem. I know the fact that it's called "The Great Depression" in America and not in Europe makes you wing nuts think you're on to something big; but you really need to stop trying to rewrite history based on something so thin.

14. Beck and his lackies may want to consider this... |
|
In Europe, the big "social event" of the 1930's were depression followed riots followed by brass knuckle political shenanigans followed more depression followed by dictators followed by total war and nearly complete annihilation of the continent (and multiple groups of people as well) a mere 20 years after they had done it before...Somehow, I think I can forgive the Europeans for having to bury millions of bodies and not thinking to call the depression "great".
The other thing I can't stand about Beck and his idiocy is the way he randomly spouts off shit that is totally disconnected to draw nefarious inferences and the way his semi-literate audience thinks that shows him as a true scholar. It goes something like this:
For additional perspective, we can just consider that 20 years ago from right now, Beck was spinning shitty records and flailing around on FM radio. Remember "Poison", "Ratt" and "Whitesnake"? I bet Mr. Beck does...hmmm, isn't that interesting? Drugs and abusive personalities being pulled in to the same industry and working together to bring down the minds of American youth. America, I ask you, can it be coincidence that Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue literally died from heroin overdose and Glenn Beck was an alcoholic from the same broad based industry effort? You decide...

8. He's just the Howard Stern of Fox News. |

So he doesn't get a rise out of me the way other right wing kooks like Michael Savage or Neal Boortz do.

Even if you don't like Howard, you know that it is a comedy show, Beck-hole masquerades as new of some sort.

...but always interested to see the comments.
These clowns keep their puss in the poles by saying the outrageous, crazy bull shit. Once again, this pig would sell his own mother and sisters into prostitution if he thought it would boost his ratings.
A real "capitalist".

13. There is no way he can come up with this stuff himself. |
|
He has to have a team of researchers, not to good a team, but a team none the less. Many mistakes are make but as has been said before; repeat a lie enough and people begin to believe it. His pedestal does get higher no matter what we think or say. He rates among the messiest of the fascist megaphones. He is correct; FDR was not loved by everyone, but the current revisionist effort by his ilk is really dangerous because of how they feed off fear and insecurity. Make certain everybody who you know who is liberal, progressive, a union member, who may ever need medical care or desires a well operating government gets out and votes any time they get the chance. Don't let apathy kill our foreward momentum. Its a tough road don't let it end. We have a ways to go yet, hang in there.

15. I can never understand why Democrats don't brag about FDR more |
|
Here was a man who walked straight into the Great Depression, no chance to stop it from happening, just left to clean it up. He dealt with not only that, but an attack on the country & a World War. A man beloved enough to get elected 4 times. And all you hear are Republicans bragging about Reagan and wanting to name everything they can on him, including now putting his face on our currency. Are they that ignorant or just ignorant of history or just a bunch of bald faced liars? Probably all 3, I suppose.
Glen Beck is an ass. If it wasn't for FDR he's be speaking German or Japanese and there would be no Social Security, which I'm sure this fat ass will not refuse to collect.
F*** him & Reagan.

don't have a chance at becoming president. Repubs shout liberal bias all day but democrats never say a word. We have a president that doesn't even see the benefit in punishing DLC,blue dog or repubs for their blatant disrespect.
