Iraq War veteran and former State Senator, Cal Cunningham, speaking to the Haywood County Democratic Party.

Cunningham is running against Richard Burr. Check out his site: www.calfornc.com

Consider donating to put an Iraq War Veteran in the U.S. Senate.

Cal Cunningham was awarded the Bronze Star for cracking down on contractor crimes while also serving as a lawyer in the armed forces.

3. Cunningham looks like a strong candidate.
I wish him well. Burr is so weak and would seem to be prime for the plucking. Imagine...two Democratic senators from NC. Wow.

8. I wish him luck and all the best ... BUT
BUT the video seems a bit too polished.
And this is silly - but he reminds me too much of John Edwards.
Too soon for me to jump on anyone's band wagon, cause we really don't know who anyone really is until we really know ;)

4. Nothing Special to me ... If anything he is a prospect to become a more corporate democrat.
I watched but cant help but think he moves and speaks like a soon-to-be corporate democrat. Even his resume reads like an early democrat who comes in with hints that he wont go corrupt but is just a foundation to begin his real agenda: sell out.

So, nothing new here...next.

9. It ain't superstition, it's a flashback
I don't necessarily agree with denimgirly, and I certainly hope she's wrong on this, but I understand where she's coming from.

We've been burned by people who sounded promising early on before.

10. I would think
folks on this board would be happy with a young, articulate, smart, progressive Democrat who has the energy and commitment to get things done on behalf the little guy. If you look at his videos on his economic plans at <www.calfornc.com> you'll see he's a strong voice for North Carolina families and small businesses.

Disclaimer: I am a volunteer with his campaign.

12. Thanks for your hard work!
And keep fighting the good fight! We need more competitive Dems in formally red states. I should know. I'm in GA.

13. Correct
As said above, the last guy who was famous for craking down on cotractor crimes - Grayson - became a true fighting progressive in Congress.

Cunningham was awarded the Bronze Star and Macarthur Award for holding the contractors acountable. He'll be a fighter in the Senate.

We need a Grayson in the senate.

Help him get there:
