1. K&R. Amazing how little we hear about the vulture funds.
Thanks to Thom for having the outstanding Greg Palast on to update us.

2. Greg Palast need never search for material, ever. There is enough fraud to expose
to last him and his investigative team several lifetimes.

3. K&R for a real investigative journalist.
As Palast demonstrates when you have real news there are consequences for the bad guys.

The British Govt took action against the vultures after his report. But here, Palast cannot even get on TV so Americans remain uninformed and the 'vultures' are free to do whatever they want.

Another good interview from Thom Hartmann.

Off topic, but I notice they were using Skype to talk to Palast. I wondered how that works.

5. Wow, I didn't know that either.
David Iglesius and the others who were fired for not cooperating with Rove and his gang to slime Democrats, never really received any justice. What happened to that investigation? Rove, despite the evidence provided by the missing emails, is still roaming around free, writing books and getting richer.

We need hundreds like Greg Palast. That video is well worth watching to remind us of how many crimes have gone unpunished.

6. Here is what I found on Iglesias from March 9, 2010 Responding to Rove's Book......
Former U.S. Attorney David Iglesias Reponds to Rove Attacks
By David Weigel 3/9/10 1:26 PM

http://washingtonindependent.com/78751/former-u-s-attorney-david-iglesias-reponds-to-rove-attacks

Some of the least convincing score-settling in “Courage and Consequences” comes when Karl Rove attempts to rebut the charge that he politicized the appointment of U.S. attorneys — the chapter dealing with this is titled “Rove: the Myth.” For one thing, Rove admits filing three complaints about then-U.S. Attorney David Iglesias, but argues that Iglesias was a glory hound who wanted “publicity in preparation for a future political campaign” and “failed to do anything about voter fraud.” Rove says one of his complaints was that Iglesias “sat for months” on an indictment of powerful New Mexico Democrats, “refusing to file it until after the 2006 election for fear he would offend prominent Democrats he might need if he ran for the U.S. Senate.”

I asked Iglesias, who is now part of special prosecution team for Guantanamo detainees, to respond to the specific allegations Rove makes in the book.

10. Sad to see that Rove is still free to make these attacks
on the US Attorneys he and Bush fired for political reasons. The case against them appears to have been dropped so he is thumbing his nose at those who thought that this time, justice would prevail. It's obvious that he feels quite confident that he is in no danger of prosecution for any of his crimes.

And because the law does not apply to Republican criminals, Iglesias is the one defending himself rather than Rove.

There will be worse crimes when Republicans regain a majority because with each administration from Nixon to this Bush, they have escaped the consequences of their actions, with the help of Democrats.

It looks like all the investigations that were going on under Bush, Leahy into restoring Habeas Corpus eg, the firing of the U.S. attorneys, have been dropped.

Thanks for the link ~
