What an elaborate act. Too bad it's all so easy to see through. She's so confident the House won't pass it because there was an agreement long ago the public option would never make it into the final bill.

3. She's not blaming the House she's predicting what the House will do

It may be that the House voted for a Public Option knowing that it wouldn't get the 60 votes.

Her point about the MLR is a valid point. Short of a public option aggressive control of the MLR by the OPM is the next best thing.

5. The entire thing is a farce. There was a deal cut long ago
to remove the public option.

8. Fair enough.
"It may be that the House voted for a Public Option knowing that it wouldn't get the 60 votes."

Would like to see ANY supporting evidence that justifies that, please.

10. What do we have to do?
Stage general strikes and a massive campaign of civil disobedience?

I always suspected it might come to that.

11. "I assure you it won't pass the house."
That's because the White House and the Democratic Leadership in Congress don't want it to pass not because there are not enough votes for it to pass. They've caved in to the lobbyists and they're playing us for fools hoping we're stupid enough to believe them when they claim it was the Republicans who killed the public option. The truth is the Democratic leadership has killed the option to keep the lobbyists happy and they think we're too stupid to know it.

18. A good many senators are for public option
knowing it won't happen, where were they last summer.
The PO was killed in the senate finance committee, the dems
had a majority in that committee, but Barcus chose to go the
gang of six "three dems and three gop" instead of more dems to represent that full committee.
If they had another Dem in the mix; they wouldn't have had to kiss Sen Snows' ass all summer to try to get her vote,
watering down the HRC bill doing it.
CONRAD AND BARCUS were against PO, they should go.
