Rielle Hunter, John Edwards' former mistress, is upset over the sexy photos she posed for, recently published by GQ magazine -- but nobody bothered to ask how her fellow models felt about the recent overexposure.

Thankfully, there's The View co-host Elizabeth Hasslebeck, championing the cause of innocent-yet-fictional characters.

In one particular image shot by photographer Mark Seliger, Rielly poses sans pants with a unicorn, Dora the Explorer, Kermit the Frog and Barney the purple dinosaur.

All of them, "non-consensual participants," according to Hasselbeck, who made the comment during a March 15 broadcast on ABC.

"If you're gonna involve Kermit, Barney and Dora, put your pants on, okay?" she said. "I mean, aside from the story being disgusting, don't bring them into ... These are non-consensual participants in this. It's borderline perverse."

"She thought were repulsive," said View host Barbara Walters.

Fellow View co-host Whoopie Goldberg didn't quite understand what Hunter is so upset about.

"This interview was done for GQ magazine, and GQ is a sexy magazine for men," she said. "It does not seem to me that it should be as surprising. <...> It's GQ, so I'm not quite buying it."

Walters noted that Hunter was not paid for the GQ interview or the photos.

I don't think Ms. Hunter is going to be the recipient of too many group hugs. It's her life, and she's an adult who is capable of making adult decisions, good or bad.

One decision might be to take the money she's made from the controversy so far, pack up her tent, and go away for a while.

That may not be the decision she makes. She may be another Palin, an attention addict, and a daily shout-out from the media may be the crack in her pipe...just like Sarah.

John Edwards' affair(s) were his business so long as he remained a private citizen. I don't want a politicians' sexual history to be a qualification or a dequalifying factor for office.

The problem is like the Monica Lewinsky Clinton deal...the more I heard details about it, the more I wanted Republicans out of office for bringing it to my attention, Clinton to go away for doing it and reporters to get off the news with it for discussing it. I don't know if it is poor Elizabeth or leave your source for health care Elizabeth. It is definitely a doozie.

Edwards is a skankie skunk and so is she. This poor defenseless child has two reprehensible parents.
