During a debate on H. Res. 1099: Recognizing the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima

From 00:10 to 03:54 Peter DeFazio (D-Oregon) details the incompetent RepubliCon mismanagement of Veteran care during their administration.

From 04:00 to 07:54 Doug Lamborn (R-Colorado) gives 3 minutes of RepubliCon anti-health care reform talking points. At 07:54 Steve Israel (D-New York) asks "Would the gentleman explain to me what reconciliation has to do with honoring veterans of Iwo Jima?". Lamborn then goes on to talk about abortion until 09:50.

From 10:04 Israel lambasts Republicons for politicizing and delaying the debate by bringing up an unrelated issue.

3. DeFazio is known for Veteran's Advocacy
That's one of the key reasons he wins even with a large number of right wingers outside of Eugene.

4. Oh how I miss Eugene. I'm from there.
But now stuck in a district with a repug--Lungren. Barf. Hopefully I'll escape this nightmare in Calif. BTW, my desktop has awsome photo of Willamette River. Ahhhhh.

5. Great weather in Eugene today
I got my gardening done today so I can watch CSPAN tomorrow. It was a great spring day in Eugene. BTW - I know exactly how you feel about living in a R district. I lived in the suburbs of Austin for many years before moving to Oregon three years ago. John Carter was my Congress member. What a worthless pile of &^*(&. It's refreshing to have Pete DeFazio as my voice in Washington.

7. Nah, he's just grandstanding.
It's his ego, I tell you.
:sarcasm:

Now, let me tell you how I really feel. De Fazio stands tall, with his confreres, Kucinich and Grayson, in championing true Democratic and democratic principles.

Unequivocably and without reservation.

11. I can't say-
But if it was a pick, he either ate it or put his hand back on his face without wiping it on the chair arm first.
