Bill Maher discusses the complete hysteria of the Republicans over a so-called 'government takeover' of healthcare, when it's in fact one big present to the insurance companies. Republican congressmen seem to involve in some shocking racism (even when compared to what we're used from them). Bill then interviews Dennis Kucinich about his decision to vote for the bill, which is only "a start".

"The people" would certainly accept the idea of allowing folks to buy into medicare, or the ability for states to opt in to a PO. The real opposition to single payer originates from the insurance industry and the politicians who do their bidding due to being well compensated.

This bill is a first step and we will eventually have single payer. Perhaps it won't be in my life time, and maybe it will.
