1. Senator Brown may be the only Senator NOT accepting (taxpayer) health care. Ted Kennedy

said as much in a passionate speech about health care reform awhile before his death. All others in the Senate (and House?) signed a card accepting the (high level) health care coverage Congress enjoys.

2. People need to know.

When Gingrich and his henchmen shut down the government in the late 90's, he told everyone that he expected the American people would blame President Clinton more for the shutdown than the Republican Congress. He was wrong. Polls HEAVILY favored the President and Republicans got the lion's share of the blame for the mess that followed.

I see this as no different. The WATB's in congress are throwing a hissy-fit, and the people need to know.
